Anesthesia in a Patient with Cri Du Chat Syndrome
Lee Dong-Reul

Kim Mun-Cheol
Abstract
Cri-du-Chat syndrome is a chromosomal disorder caused by terminal deletion of 5p chromosome. Attention should be paid during anesthetic management because of various clinical findings including cardiovascular abnormalities and airway malformation. We report a case of an 1-year-old, male patient who underwent elective surgery for cryptorchidism under general anesthesia. The patient had small mandible and mouth opening, therefore difficulty of intubation was predicted. After induction of general anesthesia, intubation was performed successfully using video laryngoscope without any problem.
